Insulting Shirts are not a Trend

This week, Urban Outfitters came out with representing the shooting at Kent State University in May 1970. I most likely wouldn't have a deeper anger against urban outfitters it it said something as simple "Remember those lost: Kent State 1970", but I have now come to believe that they are looking to give out more public apologies. It's a red tie-dye sweatshirt with what I believe could be called quite realistic blood splatter. Need a visual? Here you go:

Maybe I would be more forgiving if this was just a simple bad idea given from the company, but this isn't the first and I doubt the last time with the prior knowledge of their "Eat Less" shirt sold in 2010, encouraging people to have eating disorders.

I don't understand and believe many agree with me when I ask how these shirt went from one person's idea, to a shared idea, and through manufacturing without questioning "Is this shirt offensive to the general public?" The most disturbing shirts that explain why my hope in many is faltering are probably two that were released by Topman in 2011. I don't think there is a nice way around saying that the one on the right is encouraging raping women:

I want to understand, but I can't. These shirts aren't funny in any form as they try to make a mockery of things that shouldn't be made fun of. What's the most insulting shirt you've seen?
